Hoth Snow Display Base for the AT-AT Studio Scale Model
[2nd release]

Prototype

The sculpted snow scene for Master Replica's All-Terrain Armored Transport studio scale model came about because of a desire among MR's customer base for an AT-AT offering on a display base that simulates the planet Hoth's arctic snow environment as depicted in The Empire Strikes Back.

This display base features several elements that combined to make the whole. First, a flat area made for a MR display plaque and autograph area for the signature edition models. Second, the base has a Rebel snowspeeder [based from an original studio model] crashed into the snow in a pose also seen in the movie. And lastly, the snowscape itself; complete with the heavy footprints marking the AT-AT's progress towards the Rebel base.

This prototype was sculpted and painted by Darcienne Sparber.
